Thurrock Fostering

...so I phone them for a chat and it turns out I'm just what they're looking for.
New to Fostering?
Experienced Carer?

Thank you for visiting the Thurrock Council fostering website. We hope that the information on this site helps you to make a positive decision about fostering for Thurrock, whether you are an experienced foster carer and want to progress in your fostering career or are completely new to fostering and just want to gather some information.

Choosing to foster is going to be one of the most important decisions you ever make. Foster Carers do not work alone, they are a critical part of the service we provide to our Looked After Children and we will ensure that you will receive the help and support you need to provide the highest standards of care.

Fostering is a local service and in order to foster for Thurrock you should ideally live within 20 miles of the area - this means we welcome enquiries not only from Thurrock residents, but also from neighbouring boroughs and authorities including Havering, Barking & Dagenham and some parts of Kent and Essex, including Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Brentwood, Wickford and Canvey Island.

Black and ethnic minority applicants, including individuals or couples of dual heritage, are especially encouraged to enquire.
